The Hunt

The secrecy surrounding coastal North Carolina’s monster black bear is no more.This area has everything these bears need to grow. In Hyde county alone, where our outfitter is based, bear are estimated to outnumber people 3 to 1. The population is supported by an abundance of unfractured habitat, ample food supply and perfect genetics.

Hunters routinely kill bears over 400 pounds, many of which exceed 500 pounds.
