Juvenile Tarpon in Mexico

Located in the biosphere reserve Peténes, in the quiet Gulf of Mexico, is an opportunity to chase juvenile tarpon all year round. Large schools of young fish, eager to take the fly, offer fast paced fishing action on fish that sometimes spend more time out of the water than in, once hooked.

A beautiful, tropical lodge offers all the amenities traveling angers are looking for, consisting of 4 double cabins with air conditioning, internet, restaurant, pool and bar, as well as a special place for tying flies..

 

THE FISHING

The King of the mangroves, undoubtedly a fitting nickname for the tarpon, with their spectacular jumps wishing to free himself off the fly, he can be found is in these waters all year round and will make your fishing experience unforgettable.

Most of the fishing grounds consist of  shallow waters, only 1 to 4 feet deep, offering sight casting opportunities on tarpon, as well as other native species such as barracuda and the occasional permit.
