THE FISHING

No doubt you are coming to Missoula to fly fish for trout. But did you know they also have some of the best Pike and Bass fishing in the country? These “warm” water species are thriving in Western Montana and provide some amazing fishing opportunities for the open minded angler. Pike fishing is exceptional early in the spring as the water temps start to rise and the fish begin to stock up on food prior to spawning. The smallmouth bass fishing kicks off in July and just keeps getting better until the end of September when the water temps begin to drop off.
