THE HUNTING

Barren Ground Muskox outfitting partner is the longest operating Outfitter in Nunavut, offering the very finest in Arctic Adventure Hunts.

You will experience breathtaking vistas in a pristine Arctic environment while immersed in an Inuit Culture that has evolved over 5,000 years. Our partner’s began outfitting the first hunts for Barren Ground Muskox in March 1986 and since then have maintained an unparalleled hunting success with numerous outstanding Muskox bulls taken by both rifle and bow.

Spring hunts occur out of several remote and exclusive areas on the mainland south of Victoria Island that receive little to no hunting pressure on the herds. Inuit Guides travel by snowmobile across the solid sea ice of historic Queen Maud Gulf in true Arctic adventure fashion.

Accommodations during the hunt are heated basic plywood cabins that the Inuit use while out on the land.
