Baltic Salmon at Camp Onka

Experience very special and extremely exciting fishing for the large Baltic salmon in the Lainio river.

Camp Onka is dedicated Baltic Salmon fishery in the Lainio River. This is one of the extremely few private salmon runs in Sweden, and consists of about 10 km of river that you can only reach through this program. Access is tightly managed, offering just 8 rods per week for a limited season.

THE FISHING

Salmo Salar. The Baltic salmon is of the same species as the Atlantic salmon and has a reputation for reaching impressive sizes, emptying reels on backing and taking fishermen on adventures along the rivers of Norrbotten. On our stretches in the Lainio River, you have a good chance of meeting the slightly secretive Baltic salmon.
